Sam Leavitt’s status has improved.
Thursday’s availability report was published by the SEC, and the junior quarterback is listed as “questionable”, an upgrade from Wednesday’s “doubtful” designation.
Earlier Thursday, LouisianaSports.net reported that Leavitt practiced in the morning which indicated his condition was improving. Head coach Lane Kiffin did not address the topic on his weekly radio show Thursday night.
TJ Dottery, the former Ole Miss Rebel, remains “questionable”.
Both Whit Weeks and Trey’Dez Green were elevated from questionable and are not listed on Thursday’s report. Both No. 7s should be ready to play for the Tigers in Oxford.
Linebackers Tylen Singleton and Davhon Keys were also listed as probable which puts the Tiger linebacking corps in a better spot after another day of work. Also listed as probable is starting left guard Aliou Bah.
The news on Leavitt is obviously the biggest as he returned to practice. LSU will conduct a walk-through practice on Friday and release another availability report in the evening upon arrival near Oxford. The final report comes Saturday before kickoff time.
LSU and Ole Miss are set to kick at 6:49pm from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford.
