LSU’s secondary depth is thin. But it’s improving.
Wednesday’s availability report included Dashawn Spears, who is out for the year, as well as cornerback Ja’Keem Jackson (doubtful) and Tamarcus Cooley (questionable).
The latter two have had their statuses improve for Thursday.
Cooley was not included on the latest injury report, and Jackson’s status improved to questionable. Using last week as a guide, steady improvement is a harbinger of good things by Saturday’s kickoff against visiting Texas A&M at 6:30 p.m.
Without Spears, it’s likely Cooley, Jackson and redshirt freshman Jhase Thomas are going to play large roles for LSU against the Aggies.
Friday’s availability report will be released just after 7:00 p.m. and could paint a clearer picture with LSU’s defensive depth.
