Season-ending injuries are piling up on LSU.
Charles Ross, second-year linebacker, will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL according to LSU head coach Lane Kiffin. With the news of Whit Weeks’s broken fibula, the Tigers are searching for depth at linebacker.
Ross won’t be an option. He made a couple of tackles against Clemson including a tackle for loss and also returned an interception for a touchdown in the first half of the team’s 51-10 blowout win.
TJ Dottery will be joined in the linebacking corps by Davhon Keys, Tylen Singleton, Zach Weeks and Keylan Moses. Ross’s classmate, Jaiden Braker, has been sidelined and unavailable for LSU.
Ross was a consensus four-star recruit who played 117 snaps on special teams as a true freshman. His elite speed is a weapon on coverage units.
No. 11 LSU (3-1) returns to action Saturday against McNeese in Tiger Stadium. at 6:30 p.m.
