14. LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina

The freshman struggled against Texas and the Tennessee offense, which has been a juggernaut for years, was held scoreless for most of the entire game until the final two minutes.
It’s time to have a serious talk about Manning playing away from home. He came into this game with a career 57% completion percentage in five true road games and the same amount of TDs and INTs in four of those five starts. The accuracy got a little better, but he finished with a QBR of 53.1, zero touchdowns, one interception and was sacked six times.
Minchey is here because he ranks ahead of Manning in every major category you can have as a quarterback except wins. That somehow translates into Minchey being eighth in the SEC QB rankings and Manning being a potential No. 2 overall pick. Wild.
Whether it was the injury or not, Leavitt looked like night and day against Texas A&M.
It was a great game for Simmons against Mississippi State this Saturday. He finished with nearly 300 yards through the air and three touchdowns. He’s one of two quarterbacks in the SEC without an interception this season, and is second in the SEC in touchdown passes with 11.

Saturday was the most game-manager moment of Philo’s short career. The numbers weren’t eye popping like some of the previous games, but he was still over 70% completion percentage and efficient with the ball. He also still ranks top three in the SEC in completion percentage, passer rating, and yards per attempt.
Stockton finally had to face a defense with a pulse, and throw the ball more than 20 times. Naturally the numbers came down a bit, but he was still great against Oklahoma.
Russell is a budding star, and there was no better example of that than his 400-yard, 5-touchdown performance against South Carolina. Now we get an epic showdown between him and Kamario Taylor this Saturday.
2. Trinidad Chambliss, Ole Miss
It’s not because Ole Miss lost that he dropped a spot. It’s because of how good Taylor is. Chambliss was still magnificent against Florida for the most part, but with running back Kewan Lacy out, he was asked to shoulder the load, and it resulted in a 24-point loss. That’s not an indictment on Chambliss as much as it was the defense.
1. Kamario Taylor, Mississippi State
It was a slow week for Taylor, and that’s saying something since he had 367 yards of offense, three more touchdowns, and once again completed over 71% of his passes. He’s been at his best when it matters most too. He’s completing 83% of his passes in the fourth quarter, has yet to throw an interception on the opponent’s side of the field, and is completing an absurd 80.4% of his passes when his team is trailing or behind.
