Happy game day! There are several big matchups today in the SEC, and here’s the latest with the biggest matchups.
Sellers to the bench?
This news was broken on College Game Day this morning, as Pete Thamel discussed the latest in Columbia, S.C. where the quarterback situation has become a problem. Third-year starting quarterback LaNorris Sellers has struggled tremendously this season, and ranks 15th in the SEC in QBR through four games. According to Thamel, sophomore QB Cutter Woods saw an uptick in the reps with the first team offense this week at practice. If Sellers struggles, he may be benched for Woods.
Game-time decisions in Athens
There are two notable names that remained on the injury list for the Vanderbilt-Georgia game. Both Vanderbilt quarterback Jared Curtis and Georgia running back Nate Frazier will both be game-time decisions for their game this afternoon. Both were listed as questionable in the initial injury report on Wednesday and neither moved off that line on Thursday or Friday. According to Thamel, both could be available today, but we will not know until each team takes the field.
