NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Saints have announced two standard elevations for Monday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, both on the defensive side of the ball and at injured positions.

Edge rusher Fadil Diggs and linebacker Jackson Sirmon are being elevated to the team’s Game Day active roster. For both, it will be their first elevation of the 2026 season.

Diggs will help to backfill a position group down a pair of contributors. Edge rushers Carl Granderson (ankle) and Anfernee Jennings (calf) have both been ruled out with injuries.

A seventh-round selection from 2025, Diggs saw some game action during his rookie season. He saw snaps during the first four games of the year and then again in Week 18. Diggs totaled 54 snaps last season, but did not record a stat during his limited opportunities.

He also spent 41 snaps on return and coverage plays.

Sirmon, the son of Saints linebacker coach Peter Sirmon, will see his first NFL regular season action since Week 7 of 2025 when he took 18 coverage snaps on special teams.

Both players are likely to carry heavy special teams roles, but will also provide depth at their respective positions that have been hit by injuries.

Starting linebacker Kaden Elliss has already been ruled out while Pete Werner is questionable with a shoulder injury going into the game.
