It’s game day! Several updates have come down from the injury report and latest on certain players. Here’s what we know.
Healthy Tigers
Take that title with a grain of salt because there are five players out for the Tigers. However, for the first time in a report this season we saw no action on the report for three straight days. Everything we saw on Wednesday, we saw on Friday, and no news is good news for LSU and head coach Lane Kiffin.
Dylan Stewart Update
As of Friday it sounds like South Carolina star defender Dylan Stewart will play against Florida. Stewart was suspended indefinitely by head coach Shane Beamer after his meltdown in the Alabama game. That decision was supported and doubled-down on by the SEC, who also suspended Stewart for a game, while the indefinite suspension from South Carolina was still in place. Apparently “indefinitely” from Beamer also meant one game. According to Pete Thamel, Stewart practiced all week and is expected to play in Gainesville.
Alabama-UGA Warrior Report
For Georgia they got some good news and bad news at the running back position. The Bulldogs will be without leading rusher Chauncey Bowens, but they did get Nate Frazier back. For Alabama the uphill battle for one of their stars in the early part of the season may also be out. Tight end Josh Ford suffered a broken arm against Mississippi State, but he is attempting to play still this Saturday. He is currently listed as questionable on the latest injury report.
Tennessee QB situation a bit clearer
Tennessee benched Faizon Brandon in the Auburn game after going 3-for-8 for zero yards through the air. The Vols may have a quarterback battle on their hands, but it probably won’t be today against Arkansas, as Brandon is listed as questionable.
