NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Saints have announced their inactive players ahead of their matchup Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

New Orleans will go into another game with a list of injuries on defense. That will be a key element to watch with Minnesota seeking to right the ship for its offense, something the Saints would love to avoid to win their first home win of the season.

Saints’ Week 5 inactives

Two key offensive contributors came into this game questionable in running back Alvin Kamara and tight end Noah Fant (who was out for the team’s Week 4 clash with the Atlanta Falcons) but will be available for the game after not being named along with the other inactive players.

The Saints will be without Elliss and Jennings for a second week along with a weakened interior defensive line dealing with an illness. That could be a cause for concern for an already struggling run defense ranked No. 29 in rushing yards allowed per carry (5.1).

However, rookie defensive tackle Christen Miller is back in the lineup after navigating a toe injury over the recent weeks. He’ll be a welcome sight for the team’s defensive front.
