The New Orleans Saints have announced their game day transactions, including the return of their longest-tenured special teams captain from Injured Reserve.
Long snapper Zach Wood was activated from Injured Reserve, and New Orleans has also elevated wide receiver Cedric Tillman from the practice squad for game day.
Wood spent four weeks on Injured Reserve with a calf strain before returning to practice ahead of the team’s Week 6 clash with the New York Giants.
He’ll be a welcome return for New Orleans who has withstood a few penalties from the long snapper position since Wood has been out.
This is Tillman’s second of three possible elevations since joining New Orleans. He’ll be called upon to assist as another big-bodied receiver and blocking option.
New Orleans will go into Sunday’s game with starting wideout Chris Olave questionable but with a second wideout not finding his way to the active roster, it indicates that Olave should be good to go against the Giants on Sunday.
