PARIS, France – The New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers have wrapped up their second days of practice ahead of Sunday’s game.
Here is the injury information from Thursday’s practice report for both teams:
New Orleans Saints
Did Not Participate
- K Daniel Carlson (NIR-personal matter)
- RG Cesar Ruiz (knee)
- DL Davon Godchaux (NIR-rest)
Limited Participation
- EDGE Anfernee Jennings (knee)
- LB Kaden Elliss (calf)
- RB Alvin Kamara (back)
Full Participation
- CB Kool-Aid McKinstry (head)
- QB Spencer Rattler (knee)
- QB Tyler Shough (left hand)
- RB C.J. Donaldson (shoulder)
- DL Nathan Shepherd (illness)
With Ruiz missing his second consecutive practice, it is looking more likely that rookie Jeremiah Wright may wind up in the starting lineup against Pittsburgh. Ruiz will have one more day this week to make it back to the practice field.
Rattler was added to the injury report with a knee designation, however he remained a full participant. He also took part in the team’s group media availability Thursday afternoon, which is typically a good sign.
Carlson, whose wife is giving birth, is expected to be on a flight in time to rejoin the team in time for his kicking session on Friday. If anything were to delay that, the team does have practice squad kicker Charlie Smyth to fall back on. Smyth has already made the trip and has been with the team since the club’s arrival.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Did Not Participate
- WR Ben Skowronek (calf)
- CB Brandin Echols (hamstring)
- DT Cameron Heyward (NIR-resting player)
Limited Participation
- CB Jalen Ramsey (wrist)
- RB Rico Dowdle (knee)
- LB Alex Highsmith (groin)
- LB T.J. Watt (NIR-resting player)
Full Participation
- LB DeShon Elliott (hamstring)
No Designation
- DT Sebastian Joseph-Day (triceps)
Most of the Steelers’ injury report went unchanged. The only notable adjustments were elevating Joseph-Day to a no designation with a triceps injury, and Ramsey from a no participation to limited. This follows the same sequence as last week before Ramsey ultimately took the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Otherwise, Watt was also elevated to limited, but his status is not related to injury and is instead rest-related.
