LSU’s preconference schedule didn’t feature any big-name programs. Ultimately, it turned out to be rather weak. The 30 SEC games would have made up for it had the Tigers done more winning.
LSU’s pitching was battered all weekend, but the offense provided some highlights. Steven Milam’s season ended on a high, but LSU was swept for a fifth time.
The Tiger pitching staff hasn’t performed to a championship level this season. It’s the first time that has happened at LSU since Jay Johnson’s first season.
