Every week during the college football season, Phil Steele joins “After Further Review” with Matt Moscona to preview the biggest games of the weekend. Here is Phil’s prediction for the LSU at Arkansas game:
Every time we talk about Arkansas-LSU, are we always saying how Arkansas plays LSU tough and I tell you what, last week I liked LSU and I had to sweat that one out. It was a it was a tough, tough win, but we got it. I thought it was a tremendous situation last week for LSU at home in Death Valley off of bye versus a team playing a second straight tough game and I thought it was a great situation. LSU did end up in the long run taking care of business and getting that win at home. But now the situation favors Arkansas and this is and Arkansas team, you know Sam Pittman’s an underdog, I’m playing him. He’s 8-and-1 against ranked teams as a dog, they’re at home off of bye. Sound familiar? And LSU’s off a big game where they were at home as an underdog and now traveling on the road the next week as a favorite. I think the situation really favors Arkansas, and frankly, I’ve been impressed with Arkansas in every game this year. They haven’t really played a bad game. Even the Texas A&M game. They lost. They had a 82-yard edge and that’s a really good Texas A&M team. So impressed with Bobby Petrino’s offense. And I’m gonna side with Arkansas on this one.
