The Aggies join LSU and Auburn as the newest SEC teams to sign with the digital media company. They join other Power Four programs, including Nebraska, where current Texas A&M athletic director Trev Alberts previously served before arriving in College Station.
“We are entering a new era of collegiate athletics and Texas A&M is positioned to be a strong leader,” Texas A&M athletic director Trev Alberts said. “This partnership with Playfly reflects our commitment to innovation, maximizing our revenue potential, and providing new opportunities for our student-athletes, fans, and corporate partners.”
The Aggies were nearing the end of their current deal with Learfield Sports which paid them $18 million a year. Their new deal with Playfly will increase that annual total by $16 million to over $34 million per year.
