Burrell handed kickoff duties in the season opener against USC with three touchbacks in four opportunities. With Burrell out against Nicholls, Nathan Dibert took over the role. Dibert was the primary placekicker a season ago before tearing his ACL while making a tackle against Texas A&M.
The true freshman from Parkway High School in Bossier was the No. 1 placekicker in the country accoring to 247Sports.
