Earlier this week Brad Crawford of 247Sports released his updated preseason Bowl Projections heading into the 2024 season. A total of 13 SEC teams were listed to make the postseason including every single team from the expanded 16 teams league except Vandy, Arkansas, and Mississippi State. Crawford also included 4 SEC teams making the initial 12 team College Football playoff.
Here’s a look at where every SEC team was projected for the 2024-2025 bowl season.
Non-Playoff Bowl Games
- 12/20 Gasparilla Bowl – South Carolina vs SMU
- 12/27 Las Vegas Bowl – Texas A&M vs Arizona
- 12/27 Birmingham Bowl – Florida vs Tulane
- 12/27 Liberty Bowl – Kentucky vs Houston
- 12/30 Music City Bowl – Oklahoma vs Washington
- 12/31 Texas Bowl – Auburn vs Kansas
- 12/31 Reliaquest Bowl – Tennessee vs Iowa
- 12/31 Cheez-It Citrus Bowl – Missouri vs Michigan
- 1/2 Gator Bowl – LSU vs NC State
Playoff Games

It should also be noted that Crawford has 3 SEC teams making the Semifinals of this year’s CFP: Ole Miss, UGA & Texas, as well as #2UGA eventually playing for the national championship vs #1 Ohio State.
