C Parker Brailsford – Washington to Alabama
Brailsford was a part of the Joe Moore award winning offensive line at Washington a year ago. He will step in to anchor a line that was the worst in program history a season ago. That includes replacing a center in Seth McLaughlin who struggled with snaps all season long. In the Rose Bowl alone 33 of his 65 total snaps were off target to Jalen Milroe. Sheesh.
WR CJ Daniels – Liberty to LSU
LSU is replacing their offensive coordinator, Heisman winning QB, and two first round draft picks at receiver. Daniels should be a huge help in alleviating any growing pains this year’s offense may have early on. He comes from a pass-happy offense where he had over 1,000 yards and double-digit TDs a season ago. But it’s the 19.4 yards per catch that jumps out. He should be an explosive playmaker for the Nuss Bus.
TE Ben Yurosek – Stanford to UGA
It’s crazy how little we are talking about this on a conference-wide basis. Yurosek comes to Athens from Palo Alto having the fourth most receiving yards for a tight end since 2021. The names he was behind were: Brock Bowers, Michael Maye, and Dalton Kincaid. Two of those three names were first round draft picks, and the other went 35th overall. Yurosek should be a big part of this Mike Bobo offense that LOVES to get the tight ends involved.
QB Taylen Green – Boise State to Arkansas
Green was the Mountain West Freshman Player of the Year in 2022, and he led the Broncos to a conference title the following year. He’s a 6-foot-6, 230 lbs unit that also run. He’s racked up over 1,000 yards rushing and almost 20 TDs on the ground in his first two seasons as Harley-Davidson. There are very few names that haven’t flourished under a Bobby Petrino offensive regime.
RB Marcus Carroll – Georgia State to Missouri
Carroll won’t be the starter when the Tigers take the field Thursday night, but I fully expect him to make a big impact and play an important role in this year’s offense. Mizzou returns their starting quarterback and all three of their top wideouts, but let’s not forget that Eli Drinkwitz teams have had a running back lead the SEC in rushing and rushing TDs twice in his four seasons in CoMo. I don’t know if Carroll is in line for 1600 yards and 14 TDs like Cody Schrader and Tyler Badie, but I do know he feasted in Atlanta last season with over 1300 yards in a run heavy offense.
