Vanderbilt defeated No. 1 Alabama, 40-35, Saturday in one of the most stunning upsets in college football history.

One week after their dramatic victory over Georgia, Alabama never lead against the Commodores and were outgained 418-394.

The win is Vanderbilt’s first ever over a top-five opponent–they were previously 0-60 all-time–and their first win over Alabama in 40 years.

Heisman front-runner Jalen Milroe was help to just 10 yards rushing on seven attempts. He threw for 310 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Milroe also lost a fumble in the game.

Alabama travels to South Carolina next week while Vanderbilt heads to Lexington to face Kentucky.
