This Saturday marks the official halfway point of the 2024 season. And, while most teams have played half of their 12 game regular season schedule, several teams are just now getting to the meat of their schedule.
Brad Crawford of 247Sports released his top ten hardest remaining schedules and it seems very well represented with actual contenders. Thanks to conference realignment and this ongoing arms race of blue blood additions that conferences like the SEC and Big Ten have made this season, the list is littered with teams ranked near, or at the top, of the current national rankings.
Here is every team on the list as well as the total amount of ranked opponents still left on their schedule in parentheses:

Are you noticing a trend? All ten teams were from just two conferences including six of the top seven coming from the SEC.
