With two weeks of non-conference contests to play, LSU stands at No. 64 in college basketball’s latest NET rankings.
LSU dropped a, 74-64, contest to SMU in Frisco on Saturday to fall to 8-2 on the season. With SMU ranked No. 40 in the NET, the loss falls into Quadrant 1 where the Tigers are now 0-2.
LSU final three non-conference game will come against three of the worst teams in America. Of the 364 teams in Division 1, New Orleans (335), Stetson (355) and Mississippi Valley State (364) rank i the bottom 30.
Southeastern Conference play can more than make up for those NET anchors. The SEC has five of the Top 10 teams in the NET and 10 in the first 29.
Only South Carolina (99) ranks behind LSU among SEC teams.
