Mike Williams was not in uniform for LSU on Sunday.
After the game, LSU Head Coach Matt McMahon updated the sophomore guard’s status.
“Mike was just away from the team for personal reasons today,” McMahon said. “Expect him to be back after Christmas.”
Williams has not played for LSU since logging two minutes in the November 29 game against Northwestern State.
As a freshman last season, Williams played in all 33 games with 22 starts. He averaged 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals. Early this season Williams didn’t log much playing time.
