Oklahoma fell to Navy, 21-20, in the Armed Forces Bowl Friday. The Sooners took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter but squandered it away to the Midshipmen.
There was plenty of drama late in the game. Trailing 21-14 in the fourth quarter, the Sooners scored what was almost the tying touchdown with just six seconds left in regulation. However, Brent Venables opted for the two-point attempt and the win. Sooners quarterback Michael Hawkins was sacked, ending Oklahoma’s chance at a comeback.
After the game, social media reacted to the Sooners loss, dropping them to 6-7 on the season. Here were a few of our favorite tweets:
