As the NFL regular season comes to a close, many franchises will begin to look toward the draft.
Mel Kiper released his latest top ten quarterback rankings for the 2025 NFL Draft. Three of the top five overall signal callers were from the SEC including one SEC quarterback who made a significant jump.
While Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward held onto the No. 1 and No. 2 spots once again, Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart vaulted up from No. 7 to No. 3. Dart threw for 4,279 yards this season and finished his career in Oxford in the top two of almost every passing statistic in program history.
Rounding out the top five were Jalen Milroe and Carson Beck at No. 4 and 5 respectively. Milroe is quickly becoming one of the most polarizing players in this draft after his erratic up and down play that was mostly down over the last three games of the season for Alabama. Carson Beck is another intriguing prospect considering he’ll be coming into April’s Draft off a UCL surgery for his right elbow that he suffered in the SEC Championship Game.
Here’s a look at how Kiper ranked the top ten overall.
- Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
- Cam Ward, Miami
- Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
- Jalen Milroe, Alabama
- Carson Beck, Georgia
- Quinn Ewers, Texas
- Will Howard, Ohio State
- Tyler Shough, Louisville
- Kurtis Rourke, Indiana
- Riley Leonard, Notre Dame
