Just hours after losing a wide receiver to the transfer portal, Georgia landed one of the best players available in the portal. Former five star and Southern Cal wide receiver Zachariah Branch and his brother Zion committed to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Zachariah Branch was the No. 3 overall ranked player in the transfer portal and the best available player. In two seasons at Southern Cal he recorded 78 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns.
However, his impact on the field stretches beyond the receiver position as he is one of the most dynamic returners in the country as well. Branch averaged 21 yards per punt return and scored a touchdown on both punt and kickoff returns as well.
