The offensive play caller was the third interview of the week for the Saints, who also held an in-person interview with interim head coach and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi and a virtual interview with Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
New Orleans has now completed interviews with six different head coaching candidates. In-person interviews for those no longer coaching in the playoffs can begin on Monday.
Moore helped the Eagles offense rank within the top ten in both scoring and total yards. He also, along with running back Saquon Barkley, pioneered the team’s No. 2 rushing offense ranking. The biggest concern around Moore is whether or not he will be able to be an adequate leader for an entire roster, as opposed to just for his offense.
That is sure to have been a core piece to his interview with New Orleans and other teams. It will likely be a large deciding factor in his ongoing evaluation, as well.
