LSU is adding a former ACC defensive coordinator to its coaching staff.
Former Miami Hurricanes defensive coordinator Lance Guidry is expected to take on a role with LSU’s defense. Multiple sources confirmed to LouisianaSports.net that the role will be as an analyst. 247sports’ Matt Zenitz had the news first.
LSU has one vacant on-field staff spot after tight ends coach Slade Nagle left to become the offensive coordinator at Houston.
Guidry is a Louisiana native and former McNeese State player. He’s coached at McNeese State on three different occasions including as the program’s head coach from 2016 to 2018.
After his most recent stint at McNeese State, he became the defensive coordinator at Southeastern Louisiana. Most recently he coordinated the defenses at Marshall and Miami.
He was fired at Miami after two seasons.
