LSU lost a top 100 commitment from their 2026 recruiting class Monday morning. Four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy of Tupelo, Mississippi, told On3 Sports he is reopening his recruitment.
McCoy committed to the Tigers just a month ago, on Jan. 2, and is a consensus four-star recruit that holds over 34 offers. At 6-foot-7, 245 pounds, he is one of the top defensive prospects in the 2026 class and the No. 11 prospect at his position, according to On3.
The decommitment from McCoy leaves the Tigers with five current commits for the 2026 cycle. LSU currently ranks 12th in the composite team rankings from 247Sports.
