A loss to Omaha didn’t send LSU’s tumbling in the polls.
D1 Baseball still slotted LSU at No. 2 this week after a 3-1 week versus Southern and Omaha. Baseball America slid the Tigers one spot to No. 3. Unbeaten Tennessee moved up to No. 2.
Even with a 3-2 loss to Cal Poly on Sunday, Texas A&M claimed the top spot in both polls.
Four of the top 5 in the Baseball America poll are SEC teams. Arkansas (No. 4) joined A&M, Tennessee and LSU. Florida (No. 6) and Georgia (No. 10) also earned top 10 slots.
D1 Baseball ranked 11 of the SEC’s 16 teams in the Top 25.
LSU’s Wednesday opponent, Dallas Baptist, was ranked No. 18 by Baseball America and No. 19 by D1 Baseball.
