In addition to his new base salary, he will receive a roster bonus for 2025 of $4.795 million.
With previous prorated amounts from past restructures and bonuses, Jordan’s cap hit decreases from $20.61 million to $13.6 million, saving about $7 million in 2025.
This is in line with what sources close to the contract conversations indicated would be the case to LouisianaSports.Net.
There is a chance for the savings to be even larger, depending on the structure of the roster bonus. Whether all $4.795 will hit the books in 2025 or be spread out.
Even though the total savings came in at less than the $10 million that could have been possible here, the reduction in salary should still be seen as a team-first move by Jordan and his camp.
Though, Jordan could make up some of the loss. The defensive end alluded to asking his agent to let him “fight some back” when it comes to his salary. That opportunity is built into his new deal, as $4 million can be earned in incentives, per Terrell.
The incentives available for Jordan include $2 million total in sack incentives, as well as $2 million in playing time incentives.

Each is considered Not Likely To Be Earned based on the defender’s 2024 production. Meaning that any incentives that are earned this season will count against next year’s salary cap.
