Iona University has announced that Dan Geriot will be the next head coach of the Gaelβs menβs basketball program.

His 10th season in the NBA was spent as an assistant coach for the New Orleans Pelicans this past season.
Geriot was previously an assistant coach and director of player development with the Cleveland Cavaliers two seasons prior to joining the Pelicans (2022-2024).
He is returning to coach at the collegiate level, as he was an assistant coach at Princeton University (2011-2013) and Campbell University (2013-2015).
Geriot will be the 16th head coach in program history.
