Fans will be back in attendance on Wednesday as the New Orleans Saints get their second day of mandatory minicamps under way.
After focusing on the situational work on Tuesday, the Saints may look to open things up a bit more during 7-on-7 or 9-on-7 periods. (New Orleans has yet to run a full-team drill this offseason, at least in front of the media aside from walkthroughs.)
With that, fans may want to keep an eye on some of the biggest names that could be involved, aside from the obvious at quarterback.
WR Rashid Shaheed
The team’s most effective deep play threat has been showcasing his explosive ability all offseason long. With connections downfield from both quarterbacks, Shaheed’s comfort and chemistry with both Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough makes him a threat to take the top off in each rep.

CB Alontae Taylor
No one has brought more energy to the field at a more consistent rate than Taylor. The slot corner, or “Star” in Brandon Staley’s defense, is already hard to miss. But with his vocal leadership style and high standard of play, he’s sure to make an impact when the opportunities present themselves.
S Justin Reid
The Louisiana-native makes his return to his home state to take on an important role in the Saints’ defense. His versatile play style draws interest simply because of how often he moves around and how many different places he lines up. He has also made some plays as he gets comfortable with his new defensive scheme. On Tuesday, Reid was in on a couple of incomplete passes with tight coverage and good plays on the ball. As he gets more familiar with those around him and the scheme he’s now a part of, his playmaking ability will become more apparent.
