OMAHA, Neb.– Chris Stanfield hasn’t even called Baton Rouge home for a full calendar year.

His impact on the community has powerful, though.

On Friday, that impact was recognized as Stanfield received the 2025 Tony Gwynn Community Service trophy in Omaha.

Stanfield, like many of his teammates and Tigers throughout the last decade, has worked with the Baton Rouge Miracle League for special needs children who play baseball in the spring and summer.

He’s logged dozens of hours with other charitable outlets, as well.

The junior outfielder spent his first two collegiate seasons at Auburn before transferring to LSU. He has played in 63 games as a Tiger, hitting .309 with a team-best 15 doubles.
