Jay Johnson is the fastest coach to win two College World Series titles with one school, needing just four seasons to accomplish the feat. The previous mark was eight.
And the top Tiger isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Johnson joined me on my radio show Monday shortly after the team returned to Baton Rouge after their nearly two week stint in Omaha. He discussed the quiet moments in the hotel after the win, compared this year to the 2023 title and explained why he loves the LSU job and has no plans of leaving.
