After a June filled with big-name visitors, LSU kicked off July with a huge commitment.
Trenton Henderson, a five-star edge defender from Pensacola. Fla., pledged to the Tigers on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 224 lbs., rusher is a consensus top 80 prospect in the country, ranked as highly as No. 28 by 247sports. He chose LSU over offers from powers like Florida State, Florida, Auburn, USC and Texas. Florida and Texas each had a hat on the table for Henderson’s ceremony.
Kevin Peoples, who was instrumental in the developments of Brayden Swinson and Sai’vion Jones, both of whom were drafted in April, handled Henderson’s recruitment.
As a junior, Henderson had 10 sacks, 20 hurries and 18 tackles for loss for Pensacola Catholic. He also plays basketball, showcasing his elite athleticism.
