Fans have been clamoring about the idea of new New Orleans Saints uniforms and helmets for some time. From interesting fan-created designs to ill-received new black helmets the team released in 2022 (in which the club holds an 0-4 record), there is desire for something new and additive to the reliably beloved Saints home and away jerseys.
Per Sports Logo’s Andrew Lind, something new is expected to be on the way later this month.
Lind reports that the Saints, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders will each unveil new alternate helmets and/or uniforms with the Saints said to be revealing both on July 22. One day before the team begins training camp.
The report also notes that the alternate uniforms will replace either the 1967-68 throwback jerseys or the team’s angelic Color Rush design. Both designs have been wildly successful and universally exciting looks for the team. The Saints’ Color Rush jerseys are often noted as one of the best in the league.
New Orleans also recently had a second all-white “Icy” look. But the report does not mention that combination, which could already be out of rotation.
Icy frames. Icy dub. 🥶⚜️

The rollout of the aforementioned team’s jersey announcements reportedly begins with the Commanders on July 9. That will be a good litmus test to see what to expect regarding the Saints.
- Commanders – July 9 (with a full uniform redesign expected in 2026)
- Chargers: July 15 (team confirmed)
- Buccaneers: July 15
- Steelers: July 21
- Saints: July 22
- Packers: July 23
The Seattle Seahawks may be releasing a new look as well in July.
This won’t be the last time the Saints are connected to new jerseys in the near future, either. The NFL and Nike announced the release of their upcoming “Rivalries” looks, which are considered the league’s answer to the NBA’s successful “City Edition” looks.
Those jersey combinations will begin to rollout in 2025 with specific divisions being revealed each year through 2028. The AFC East and NFC West will debut this year with the Saints having to wait until 2028 along with the rest of the NFC South and NFC North, per the NFL’s press release from April 25.
