The Saints are still a few weeks away from training camp, but Alvin Kamara is much further away from a baseball career.
The team shared on their social media Saturday that the veteran running back would be throwing out the first pitch the at Chicago Cubs game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field.

Kamara is posing at Justin Steele’s locker. The Cubs ace is from Lucedale, Miss., and is a diehard Saints fan.
Unfortunately for Kamara, the ceremonial pitch wasn’t as accurate as many of the passes he’s caught during his career.

After bouncing the first attempt, he asked for a redo and got it to home plate–even if it was outside.
Kamara and the Saints open training camp July 23 at the team’s training facility in Metairie, La.
