The 2025 Major League Baseball Draft concluded Monday afternoon. The SEC once again finished with the most draft picks of any power conference. This year’s edition of the draft ended with the SEC claiming 13 first round picks, which was the most for the conference in the last decade. The 107 total picks were not only the most of any P4 conference, but also 46 more than the next closest league.
Behind the SEC was the ACC with 61 picks, followed by the Big 12 with 56, and the Big Ten recording the fewest with just 34. To put the level of domination in perspective, the SEC finished with more draft picks in the first four rounds alone than the Big Ten did in all 20 rounds.
