The final touches are being put on LSU’s title-defending roster.
Cooper Moore, Kansas’s ace in 2025, committed to Jay Johnson and the Tigers on Wednesday. The right-hander worked 88.2 innings and struck out 85 against just 19 walks. His 3.96 ERA led Kansas’s starters.

Moore is 6-foot-1 and doesn’t feature a blazing fastball, but he worked deep into games for former LSU assistant Dan Fitzgerald in Kansas this season. His fading changeup is his best pitch.
With LSU’s resources, Johnson is hoping for further development from Moore as a key piece on the weekend for the Tigers, perhaps behind Casan Evans who is the odds on choice to the be Friday night starter.
