The roster is shaping up for fall as the summer hits the halfway point.
Here is what the outline of the roster looks like. I’ve broken it down by position group. The last group is a pair of drafted pitchers I do not expect back. Conner Ware and River Hamilton have the option to return, but it would be a surprise if either did.
The roster must be pared down to 34 for Opening Day. This list puts LSU’s roster at 39. The NCAA has allowed for players who would have been cut due to the new limit to be Designated Student Athletes. They have the option to stay at LSU or transfer in a new window that is open until August 5.
