With recent discussions surrounding SEC scheduling and the ongoing debate among Power Four conferences about aligning scheduling models, we conducted a deep dive into the future schedules of every SEC team. Specifically, we examined which school has the most Power Four nonconference games scheduled between 2025 and 2034.
A lot has been made about the FCS and cupcake opponents scheduled late in the season by SEC teams. Despite the 15 of the 18 teams in the Big Ten scheduling an FCS opponent in September, this isn’t a comparison of conferences. Rather, it is an in-depth look at which teams are choosing to challenge themselves out of conference, despite the gauntlet they already face each year in the SEC.
Every opponent listed is currently scheduled and courtesy of fbsschedules.com. Things could change, and contracts may be terminated between now and then, particularly if the SEC ultimately opts to adopt a nine game conference schedule.
