Tulane basketball player Gregg Glenn III died over the weekend in what the university described as a “tragic accident” in a statement released Monday.
It is with profound sadness that I reach out to you today. We have lost a cherished member of our university community, Gregg Glenn III, who died in a tragic accident this weekend. He was a talented student-athlete who enriched our lives with his spirit, dedication, and passion for both sports and academics,” wrote Sarah Cunningham, Vice President of Student Affairs.

Glenn, a Florida native, began his career at Michigan in 2022-23 before transferring to Tulane. He played in 64 games over two seasons with the Green Wave, starting all 34 games this past season. A 6-foot-7 forward, Gregg averaged 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Tulane coach Ron Hunter called Gregg a “remarkable person who brought energy, dedication and kindness to our team and community.”
