Less surprising that the LSU baseball team winning the national championship was the Tiger fans winning the Rocco’s Jell-O Shot Challenge.

The big winners, however, are the food banks that receive donations as a result of the Jell-O shot fun.

The LSU Student Food Pantry received a $52,390 donation from Rocco’s as a result of the LSU fans’ revelry during those two weeks in Omaha during the College World Series.

Twelve different food banks in various cities received a total of $130, 009 thanks to the promotion.

Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves donated an additional $10,000 to be divided among the food pantries.
