METAIRIE, La. — The struggles for New Orleans Saints offensive lineman and 2023 fourth-round selection Nick Saldiveri continue.
Injuries have hampered his ability to have an impact so far throughout his young career, having started just six games through two seasons. Heading into 2025, he was primed to compete for a backup role behind an improving protection group. Unfortunately, that opportunity has quickly come to an end.
Head coach Kellen Moore said during his post-practice media availability on Saturday that Saldiveri will head to injured reserve. That designation will end his season before it gets a chance to begin.
Kellen Moore says that #Saints OL Nick Saldiveri is going on IR. His season is over.

An unfortunate deal of the cards for Saldiveri who was hoping to buck the injury trend going into this season.
On Friday, the Saints added veteran offensive lineman Shane Lemieux, who was with the team last season, starting four games at center.
