IRVINE, Calif. — Before retaking the practice field on Tuesday, the New Orleans Saints executed a slew of roster moves per the league’s transaction wire.
Will Clapp Head to IR
The biggest move, offensive lineman Will Clapp has been placed on Injured Reserve, ending his 2025 campaign. Clapp exited Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers during the Saints’ first offensive series with an apparent lower-body injury. The issue was later reported as a good injury.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that it’s a lisfranc injury that will end Clapp’s return to New Orleans.

Pline, Tyree Waived
The Saints also waived two players, tight end Mason Plaine and wide receiver Chris Tyree. Both are waived with injury designations. Tyree’s departure was initially reported by Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football during Sunday’s game, for which Tyree was not present.
Three Additions
With tight end taking another hit, the Saints are bringing back Seth Green. They signed the former UFL player earlier this offseason, but waived him just before heading to the west coast. He is now back with the team hoping to improve upon his first stint this summer.
New Orleans also signed defensive tackle Jayden Peevy and wide receiver Roderick Daniels.
Peevy, 6-foot-5 and 308 pounds, entered the league in 2022 as a member of the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent. He also spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans. He has appeared in six career regular season games including four with the Panthers in 2024.
Daniels, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, adds another SMU Mustang to the Saints’s ledger. He went undrafted in this year’s draft after totaling 105 receptions for 1,485 receiving yards and 12 touchdown catches over his four collegiate years. He also has experience as a punt and kick returner with two career punt return touchdowns.
