RUSTON – Louisiana Tech football’s Evan Bullock was named to the 2025 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is given annually to the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell. In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or currently playing at a Texas DI four-year college.
Bullock, a product of Anna, Texas, and Anna High School, enters his third season with the program after playing in 12 games with 10 starts at quarterback last season.
The redshirt sophomore was named to the All-CUSA freshman team after completing 198 of his 301 passes for 2,101 yards and 14 touchdowns to just three interceptions. Bullock took over as the starter against FIU and started the final 10 games of the season. In his first start at home over Middle Tennessee, Bullock passed for a season-high 290 yards and five touchdowns, while also adding a score on the ground. His 65.8 passing percentage was second in CUSA while his three interceptions were the fewest among starting quarterbacks.
Bullock and the Bulldogs open the season in 10 days from now on Saturday, Aug. 30 against Southeastern inside Origin Bank Field at Joe Aillet Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
