The SEC is officially moving to a nine-game conference schedule starting in 2026, and each team will get three permanent opponents every year. For LSU fans, that means the debate is officially on: Who should the Tigers face annually in this new format?
We asked the 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge crew to weigh in with who they’d like to see as LSU’s three permanent SEC rivals. Some leaned into tradition. Some went with fresh matchups. A few may spark some debate.

Matt Flynn, Co-Host, Off the Bench: Florida, three times
Taylor Sharp, Video Producer, Off the Bench: Florida, Auburn, and Alabama
Alondra Villarreal, Audio Producer, Off the Bench: Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Florida
Charles Hanagriff: Co-host, Live at Lunch: Texas A&M, Mississippi State or Ole Miss, and Alabama or Auburn seems about right
Jimmy Ott, Co-host, Live at Lunch: Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M
Hunt Palmer, Host, Hunt Palmer Show: Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Mississippi State
