Jay Johnson has added a Tulane assistant to his support staff at LSU.

Justin Bridgman has been hired in a player development role, according to a report from Andrew Riedell.

Bridgman and Johnson have a long history together. Johnson recruited Bridgman to Nevada, where he coached the infielder for two seasons before accepting the Arizona job. Bridgman got his coaching start as a graduate assistant under Johnson at Arizona in 2020 and spent two seasons at Cal Poly before joining the Green Wave.

Bridgman just completed his third season on the Green Wave’s staff as the hitting/infield coach. He also served as recruiting coordinator last season.
