LSU emerged from fall camp relatively healthy.
Head coach Brian Kelly confirmed as much his Monday press conference.
“At this point, as I stand here in front of you, we expect everyone to be available,” Kelly said.
The only significant injury in camp was the broken metatarsal in Solomon Thomas’s foot. Beyond that, it’s been little other than “bumps and bruises” according to Kelly.
Speculation could have arisen from Garrett Nussmeier being held from throwing twice in the last week including Saturday’s practice, but Kelly dismissed that on Monday.
“When you get into the camp situation, I know it’s not a great analogy, we have a pitch count,” Kelly said. “We want to our quarterback’s load off. All the installation was in. We were done with installation. So, this was just more throwing. We wanted to wait to get into Clemson game week. He’ll be out there on Tuesday practicing full.”
Carius Curne was one of the players held from practice on Saturday night. He was not dressed out and did not participate. As of a week ago, Curne was competing with Weston Davis at right tackle.
Kelly confirmed to Matt Moscona that Curne is dealing with Patellar tendinitis. He also said the offensive line will rotate in the opener.
Brian Kelly told me freshman OL Carius Curne was held out Saturday with Patellar tendinitis. He will be available Saturday.

“There will be some positions where we will have some rotations, and I think it will be good for us,” Kelly said. “I think it makes us better…you’re going to see more than just five guys out there. You’ll see at least six or seven, could be as many as eight offensive linemen playing for us.”
The only outright absence we noted on Saturday night was defensive tackle Dominick McKinley who was excused for a non-injury reason.
