Jacob Hester, Co-host, Off the Bench: 10-2 with an SEC Championship Game appearance. The road schedule is tough, but the Tiger could go unbeaten at home.
Matt Flynn, Co-host, Off the Bench: 11-1. I don’t know who they lose to, but in order to keep my journalistic integrity intact, I’ll say they lose one somewhere along the way.
Taylor Sharp, Video Producer, Off the Bench: I think 10-2. LSU has a ton of talent but will drop a couple of games. Unfortunately, I think one of the losses will be on the road in Tuscaloosa. I don’t think Alabama is great, but they are still a tough opponent and Bryant-Denny is a hard place to play. The Clemson game will have a huge impact on whether or not the Tigers make it to the CFP in my opinion. I do think Brian Kelly makes the playoff in year four.
Charles Hanagriff: Co-host, Live at Lunch: 10-2….LSU’s depth will make this a better team as the season goes on, but there might be some bumps with a tough first half schedule.
Hunt Palmer, Host, Hunt Palmer Show: 10-2. I just don’t think they can navigate this road schedule without a couple of bumps. But I really like the high floor this roster has, and I think the defense may be elite.
Jacob Beck, Audio Producer, Hunt Palmer Show: 9-3. My bold prediction for LSU was they’d lose four games, so maybe I’m walking that back a bit, but the major concerns I noted are still there. This offensive line feels eerily reminiscent of the one LSU deployed in 2022, not a lot of experience and mostly unproven. Without a quarterback as mobile as Jayden Daniels, that will be a serious issue. The schedule is plenty hard enough for the Tigers to accrue three losses.
Matt Moscona, Host, After Further Review: 10-2 LSU loses the opener to Clemson and goes 7-1 in SEC play. The Tigers beat Texas in the SEC Championship and earn a College Football Playoff berth.
Matthew Musso, Audio Producer, After Further Review: 10-2. I like the veteran pieces that LSU returns on both offense and defense, plus the ones they brought in from the portal. I’m expecting a big jump from Blake Baker’s defense between the depth and the personnel, he finally seems to be set up to run his scheme the way he wants. I also think the schedule is more than manageable. The Clemson game I believe skews the strength of schedule a lot. Even with a loss in the opener, I could see LSU split the games at Ole Miss and Alabama to arrive at 10-2.
Paul O’Neill, Video Producer, After Further Review: 11-1. LSU will finally win their season opener. The offense will be one of the best in the country, and the defense will take a major step forward. They will drop one on the road but could run the table the rest of the way with this roster.
