NEW ORLEANS, La. – The New Orleans Saints will not waste time debuting one of their newest jersey looks. Per press release to the local media and a social media post, the Saints have announced that they will wear their recently announced gold alternate jerseys during the Week 1 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.

The Saints have made a series of moves that signal a full embrace of a new era for the franchise. From new head coach and starting quarterback to coaching staff and roster turnover, New Orleans is a new-look team across most of its ranks, uniform included.
This offseason, New Orleans announced two new uniform pieces. The gold jerseys that they will wear against the Cardinals were a long-standing request by defensive end Cameron Jordan, who is prominently featured on the team’s Monday announcement as he was in the video release of the new look. The team also announced a new white and gold helmet that will be paired with its color rush look.
Sunday will be the first time the Saints have worn a gold jersey since 2002. The downside is that these jerseys will be paired with the often-critiqued black helmets. The Saints are currently 0-4 in those helmets, which debuted in 2022. New Orleans will hope to reverse the look’s fortune in the 2025 season opener at home.
