METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals have released their final injury report of the week. The Saints have ruled out two while the Cardinals ruled out one player as well.
Here is the information from the final injury report of the week, including game designations.
New Orleans Saints
Out:
T/G Trevor Penning (Toe)
DE Chase Young (Calf)
Questionable:
DT Khristian Boyd (Hand)
S Jordan Howden (Oblique)
No Designation (Good to go):
CB Alontae Taylor (Groin)
Both players ruled out, Young and Penning, are big losses for New Orleans. Having the full complement of weapons on the defensive side would be massively important against a mobile quarterback and explosive rushing attack.
Taylor being good to go is a huge boost for the Saints’ offense. His versatile and disruptive style of play will be much-needed to create some chaos for the Cardinals’ offense.
Meanwhile on offense, not having Penning could create some issues in communication on the line, but with Dillon Radunz having stood in for weeks, that side of the trenches is likely to be in good shape, but will be tested by an active pass rush by Arizona.
Quarterback Spencer Rattler will otherwise have the full breadth of the offense at his disposal as he starts the seventh game of his career.
Arizona Cardinals
Out:
OL Will Hernandez (Knee)
Questionable:
DL Dante Stills (Heel)
LB Owen Pappoe (Quadricep)
No Designation (Good to go):
OL Jon Gaines II (Thumb)
DL Calais Campbell (NIR-Rest)
The Cardinals are mostly good to go, however they do take a hit to their offensive line depth with the loss of Hernandez for the week.
